I cannot think of any payware military aircraft that surpasses it and only one that perhaps equals it - the VRS FA18. It is a tragedy that so few people are aware of it but try it and you will be astonished at the depth of systems modeling and a VC that is breathtaking. The Section8 F86 is hard to beat but if any military freeware aircraft can be hailed as the best ever, my vote would be for Ira's Dassault Mirage III. To David Maltby's BAC 111 I would definitely add his DH Comet 4 and Trident. Restaravia have several very nice French aircraft, including the Nord 3202 mentioned above, and I would add their Dassault Mystere IV to that list. If you can find it, IRIS also released their excellent Pilatus PC9 as freeware. Though most of them show their age, some are still excellent and one in particular is the Douglas B66 Destroyer/RB66. In most cases they are listed as Alphasim products which was the company that Virtavia evolved from. Virtavia (payware) regularly releases older models as freeware.

On the new TDS 737s, they have a new method of manipulating the antennas, so you can pick and choose which ones you want to show up, and they do provide documentation to make it easy to figure out how to do that. The Project Opensky 737s did have a virtual cockpit at some point, but the designer of the virtual cockpit left Project Opensky at some point and requested that those files be removed.Īs for the equipment available for the aircraft, the Satcom is there, it's just a matter of manipulating textures to figure out if you want them to show up or not. I don't believe the CRJs had them with the exception of the old CRJ-200. The 757s may have had them, but I don't remember off hand. As for Project Opensky, the only aircraft I can remember ever having one are the ERJs and the 777s. None of the SkySpirit or TDS models come with virtual cockpits since they do not have a virtual cockpit designer to do so. Okay, so let's get that squared away, so we don't have any confusion. It's not always clear with POSKY/SS what's included in the plethora of satnav/nosatnav/VC/WV/eyebrow/widget model variations which I always find bewildering.
